Think calling the rooms deluxe is misleading Positive: I liked the ease of checking in. But was a bit miffed when my request for an earli&er check in, was told £15.00 extra, unless I'd booked direct which would have been free. We were booked into room 5. Deluxe king double. Very 🔥 🥵 small fan supplied not sufficient. No bedside light or side table, on one side. Small fridge on the floor. No where to put your toiletries in the bathroom. Small slimline sink. No shelving. I wouldn't class it as deluxe at all.

UnSettling. Positive: Pleasantly refurbished and renovated building built some time last century or earlier. Clean and well kept. Management helpful Good WiFi. Location is not so good. See below. Negative: We were there for 3 nights, awaiting a cruise. We hoped that Southampton had some attractions to keep us busy, but the city was generally disappointing. Two nights is more than enough. The major problem with this accommodation is if you don't have a car or local mobile plan, you are in trouble. Nowhere to eat unless you went for at least a 20-minute walk and bringing food back for another meal was problematic as the small cool box didn't fit much. Calling a taxi on the internet is hopeless as with no phone number you can't! The management helped us get one, but not being on site, we had to hope they saw our email. Just as we were preparing to drag our suitcases down to the cruise terminal 2 miles away, a bit of an ask for those in their 70s, they responded with a taxi booking. One day, as we were resting, the door burst open, and there stood a man who declared he was there to fix the window! Somewhat unsettling if you are not fully clothed! He could have been anyone. Management later confirmed he was their maintenance man. In summary. I do recommend Settle but with the limitations above.

It will do, but you get more value than you get comfort. Positive: Clean, conveniently located, reasonable prices. WiFi included is a plus. Best if you’re simply sleeping here and spending no time in the room. Negative: So cramped that there’s barely room for two people. Bare bones and basic in every way. The picture featured above with the property looks like the Taj Mahal compared to the actual room we had - nothing remotely similar.

The stay was ok but hosts need to review the luxury suites aspect as not a fair reflection Positive: The code and entry system was modern and easy, the room was small but clean, bed was comfortable, ensuite was small but was ok. Negative: This was not a luxury suite, it was a small bedroom with an ensuite build in the corner. There was only really two parking spaces at front door, other parking at back was down a narrow lane with little room to park and manoeuvre. We were travelling in a medium van so had to park one night on the main street and move the van before 8am. There was also a lot of noise on the second night with what sounded like a couple arguing and then later people shouting trying to get access who seem to have lost their way to enter.
